The History of Normanton on the Wolds
The Keyworth & District Local History Society is embarking on a project to study the history of Normanton-on-the-Wolds. We plan to disseminate our findings when research has been completed, in a format yet to be decided. It will cover the history of the area within Normanton civil parish both before and after 1984 and subsequent boundary changes (before 1984 Plumtree Park and the rest of north Keyworth were in the civil parish of Normanton, and still are, like Normanton, in the ecclesiastical parish of Plumtree).
If any persons can be of of help with this project, for instance with house deeds, old photographs and reminiscences your co-operation would be greatly appreciated.

Completed Projects
The Society undertook a two year project to write a history of the airfield from its inception in 1929 to 2008.
